Even with a 360-degree camera using multiple lenses on the market, we can shoot 8K, and it became possible to shoot 8K-video even with a monocular camera.

Kadincha Co., Ltd. has introduced the following 8K VR efforts in collaboration with Astrodesign Co., Ltd. of 8K camera maker and Entaniya Co., Ltd., a super wide angle lens maker.

Using the Astrodesign’s 8K camera and Entaniya’s 250-degree wide-angle lens, we have established a production flow to capture the test video and view it on the head mount display. The equipment configuration used in March 2018 is as shown in the picture below, but cameras and lenses will be changed according to future product development.

By using the 8K camera and the wide-angle lens, you can shoot a wide area with high resolution. For example, even if you shoot so that all the baseball grands will fit in the angle of view, you will have resolution that makes each player in the field clearly visible.

When such an image environment is in place, we believe that there are more needs to display the entire 8K image on a large-screen display like a television, and to enlarge display of the area of ​​interest in the tablet terminal.

As this 8K video tablet application, we developed a prototype system with the following configuration. On the PC connected to the large screen display, the entire 8 K video is played, and at the same time the 8 K video is distributed to the tablet terminal connected by Wifi by local wireless delivery. So that the person who has tablet can enlarge the favorite places of the video. In other words, it sends a coordinate that the tablet is viewing and listening to PC side at any time, and only the part is distributed locally.
