We shoot and prepare 360-degree videos with cameras dedicated to 360-degree videos, such as the Richo Theta and Kodak SP360.

Preparing to upload a 360-degree video

In order to be recognized as a 360-degree video on YouTube, a video file requires specific metadata to recognize it as a 360-degree format. Depending on the aircraft you are using, it may already be included in the output file. If metadata is not included, there is a method of adding meta tags using a dedicated application provided by YouTube or adding meta tags on Adobe Premiere.

uploading a file

A 360-degree video with metadata for the 360-degree format is uploaded to YouTube in the same way as a regular video.

Viewing as a 360-degree video

It may take a few hours before you can play it as a 360-degree video.
When the video is played, a pan button is displayed in the upper left corner, and you can confirm that it is a 360-degree video.

[Specifications for 360-degree videos that can be uploaded]

・Resolution: Equidistant cylindrical projection, 2:1 aspect ratio, (example: 4096 x 2048, maximum 8192 x 4096)
・FPS: 24, 25, 30, 48, 50, 60 fps
・Encoding (recommended): Same as regular video (container: MP4, audio codec: AAC-LC, video codec: H.264)
・Maximum size: Same as regular video (128GB)
