Kadinche Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takayuki Aoki) has been working on advanced technology development and solution provision as an “XR (Extended Reality) Engineering Firm.” We are pleased to announce that we are now further expanding our business domain and aiming for a new leap forward as an “XR & AI Engineering Firm” that integrates AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology in earnest in addition to XR technology.

Our efforts so far

Our commitment to XR technology began when members familiar with image processing technology began shooting 360-degree videos and independently developed a 360-degree video viewer for VR head-mounted displays as that viewer. This technology is being used in a wide range of fields, such as immersive virtual tours in the real estate and tourism industries, experiential learning content in the education field, and even immersive content production in the entertainment industry.

At the same time, deep learning (deep learning) technology was rapidly developing in the field of image processing. In other words, since the era of the third AI boom, we have been working on AI as an elemental technology.

The 4th AI boom and our efforts

The current boom represented by generative AI is positioned as the fourth AI boom. In addition to image and video processing technology up until now, we are actively working on natural language AI such as LLM (large-scale language model) and generation/production AI technology for virtual humans, etc.

LLM + RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and AI avatars were used as specific development projects

There are efforts to develop a system that combines AI avatars that generate facial expressions and movements in real time with AI that enables natural language dialogue.

The development of generative AI has made it possible to generate source code for programs using instructions in natural language. For our company, whose main business is software development, this means a period of major transformation that fundamentally changes the way we work.

In the future, an era may come where AI not only writes code, but also develops complex systems and creates content on your behalf. However, even when such an era arrives, it is humans who master AI and lead it in a positive direction. We are at the forefront of creating new value through collaboration between AI and humans, and we want to lead such an era with little effort.
