Opening Insta360 Pro 2 and checking that it works

I opened Insta360 Pro 2 and Farsight and made a simple operation check.

If you remove the cap on the top of the Insta360 Pro 2 main unit, there is a screw hole for attaching the antenna.


When screwed in, it looks like the image above.


There is a 1/4″ screw hole on the top and a 3.5mm audio input terminal on the side.


There is a USB 2.0 terminal on the other side.


There is a battery slot and an SD card slot on the side.



The following was at the bottom.
・Reset pinhole
・Speaker hole
・USB Type-C
・6 microSD card slots
・USB 3.0 terminal
・DC power input port
・HDMI 2.0 micro terminal
・LAN terminal
Also, there are 5 1/4” screw holes on the bottom, and the center hole seems to be 3/8” when removed.

Farsight

As an option, there is Farsight, which can transfer images wirelessly.

Farsight main unit


There is a USB micro terminal on the bottom of the receiver.


There are antenna mounting screw holes, power buttons, DC terminals, and LAN terminals on the top of the receiver.


There is a screw hole at the bottom of the transmitter.


There are antenna mounting screw holes, DC terminals, and LAN terminals on the top of the transmitter.
Also, there is a power button on the side.

Connect Insta360 Pro 2 to Farsight, check operation

*Farsight has a built-in battery, so charge it with the included adapter.
Connect the Insta360 Pro2 to the Farsight transmitter using a LAN cable.


Insta360 Pro 2 seems to be recognized by pressing and holding the power button on the Farsight transmitter after turning it on.


Attach the iPhone X to the receiver side and connect it with a micro USB to Lightning cable.
Turn off WiFi in iPhone settings. It is recognized that Ethernet appears on the settings screen.


It looks like they're checking the video on Insta360Pro2 and Farsight.
*Although it is attached in this photo, it seems that the antenna on the Insta360 Pro 2 side is unnecessary when using Farsight.
