It is an interactive experiential in-house guide where you can tour and experience the world of Shigeru Mizuki in a space, listening to aspects of Mr. Mizuki that you still don't know, and being able to feel close to the existence of a different world that you haven't seen until now. The guide is Backbeard, who demonstrates his erudition as a general of monsters, and guides you around the building.
KEY FEATURES:
・Spatial audio guide: An audio guide that automatically plays when you approach the exhibition
・Extended Information Popup: Display spatial information about monsters in Yo-kai Cave
・Different space sharing experience (shooting): Commemorative photo of spatial content at Yo-kai Square
The MR headset uses Microsoft HoloLens 2. The HoloLens 2 is a self-contained holographic computer equipped with Windows that realizes mixed reality, and by attaching it to the head, it is possible to recognize real space and arrange and display 2D/3D objects in space without hands. Also, applications that operate within HoloLens 2 use the Immersal SDK, Immersal's VPS (Visual Positioning System), as self-position estimation technology. With this technology, it is possible to recognize locations and exhibits in the museum with high accuracy.
The purpose of this demonstration experiment is to verify its usefulness and return on investment by creating content and developing an MR system as a next-generation guide system that can be used in indoor exhibition spaces such as memorials and museums, and for visitors to experience it.
