Kadinche Company Ltd. is a head-mounted display (HMD) of Taisei Corporation’s, is a real-life video system “T-iROBO Remote” which can steer a heavy machine while feeling as if it is actually in a remote place. For its development we have cooperated with INNYYA Co., Ltd. regarding “Viewer”.

In this system, a stereo fisheye camera is installed on the heavy equipment side and the video is displayed simultaneously to the HMD of a pilot located in a remote place so that operation of heavy machinery can be performed and felt while checking the depth and distance. By making the lens used for the stereo fisheye camera wide-angle, it helps when the pedestrian moves the direction of the HMD the image also becomes in the direction in which it wants to see it and you can check the work place in a wider area than the normal lens. Although this system was developed assuming a disaster response and restoration work under high radiation situation, we have been using not only in these applications but also for panorama video, head mounted display, communication technology etc. We are planning to utilize the virtual reality technology at construction site and factory.
